In plain terms, before the legal detail
- The content you publish stays yours — we only host it and display it at the address you share.
- You remain responsible for what you publish: accuracy, rights to the images used, professional tone.
- You can leave at any time and take your data with you — see account deletion.
- The service is provided “as is”: we do our best to keep it running, with no guarantee of absolute availability.
Purpose of the service
Folvya (published by FBD) lets you create and publish a professional portfolio online (about, experience, education, skills, projects, certifications and related sections), at a dedicated address that you can freely share. By creating an account, you accept these terms.
Your account
- You warrant that the information provided at sign-up is accurate.
- You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for any activity carried out from your account.
- One account per person, unless otherwise agreed for professional/business use.
- The service is intended for people old enough to build a professional record (see the privacy policy for the minimum age).
Your content
You remain the owner of everything you publish.
By uploading text, photos, logos or documents, you grant us only the technical right needed to store them and display them at your portfolio address (no resale, no reuse for other purposes, no transfer to third parties). You warrant that you hold the rights to everything you publish — in particular the images and documents you upload — and are solely responsible for their content.
Prohibited content
- Content that is illegal, defamatory, misleading, or that impersonates a third party.
- Content that infringes the copyright or intellectual property of others.
- Attempts to circumvent the normal operation of the service (spam, bots, deliberate overload).
An account publishing this type of content may be suspended or deleted.
Acceptable use
The service is intended for individual professional presentation use. It is prohibited to use it to collect other users’ data, to attempt to access accounts that are not yours, or to disrupt its normal operation.
Service availability
We do our best to keep the service accessible, but do not guarantee continuous or error-free availability — maintenance, technical incidents or force majeure may interrupt it temporarily. We will inform you of prolonged and foreseeable interruptions where possible.
Termination
From the app: menu (☰) → My account → Delete my account. Deletion is immediate and permanent — see the privacy policy for the detail of what is erased.
We may suspend or delete an account that breaches these terms (see “Prohibited content” above), after an attempt to make contact where reasonably possible, except in an emergency (illegal content, service security).
Limitation of liability
The service is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we cannot be held liable for indirect damages resulting from the use of, or inability to use, the service, nor for content published by users, each of whom remains solely responsible for it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Senegal. Any dispute will be submitted to the competent courts of Senegal, subject to the mandatory provisions applicable to your place of residence.
Changes
If these terms change significantly, the update date at the top of the page will be revised and, for any substantial change, we will notify you directly (in-app notification or e-mail). Continuing to use the service after notification constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
